What is a Member in Good Standing?

Article II, Section 4 of the SAEP By Laws

defines a Member in Good Standing as “one who complies with the duties set forth in Article III, Section 3, of these By-Laws as well as the terms and conditions set forth by the Board.”

Article III, Section 3 Duties and Obligations of all Members are as follows:

  1. To attend all meetings, conferences and seminars as may be prescribed by the Board or by the members of the organization sanctioned by the Board.
  2. To pay the membership fee, annual fees, and/or assessment(s) required and to comply with all the obligations and undertakings as member.
  3. To contribute personal services to the organization when required in accordance with the decision of the Board.
  4. To obey and comply with the By-Laws and the rules and regulations promulgated by the Board and,
  5. To help in the implementation of any program by the organization for the benefit of the members.

 

Application Process for a Certificate of Good Standing:

Pay the SAEP annual dues of PhP. 1,500.00 (good for 3 years) through either one of the following online means:

  • Bank deposit: PNB Account Number: 150570003267 under Society of Aerospace Engineers of the Philippines, Inc.
  • G-Cash SAEP No.: 09776013570

Attach your proof of payment to the SAEP Membership Application Form (see Step 3).

Fill-out the SAEP Membership Application Form through Google Forms at this link: https://bit.ly/2F8Xoyz

Your application will be processed within 3-5 working days (not counting weekends, holidays, work suspensions, etc.). The cut-off time is 5:00 pm.

A duly designated personnel will check for applications at the end of each working day and will process them accordingly. All applications will be treated as urgent. There will be no special rush request.

Expect to receive a pdf copy of your Certificate of Membership and Certificate of Good Standing (COGS). Due to the current circumstances, no hard copy will be issued until further notice (see attached SAEP Resolution).

If the COGS will be used for renewing your PRC ID, the PRC branch you will be transacting with will also be sent the pdf copy of your COGS including the SAEP resolution supporting its validity. Make sure to specify the PRC branch in the Google Form.

It is advised you check the specific instructions for renewing the PRC ID as posted by PRC itself. Make sure to consider the processing time for your COGS when making an appointment with PRC.
